On his initiative, the Charitable Foundation has implemented many educational, art and science projects. Much work is being done to help those in need of treatment, and the necessary medical equipment for hospitals is being purchased.
In 2012, Igor Vasiunyk initiated an action in support of the Ukrainian language, in particular, the all-Ukrainian campaign “We are united by language. The only state language."
From August 2014 until today, on the initiative of Igor Vasiunyk, the Center for Legal Assistance to ATO Participants has been operating in Lviv, providing free legal advice to the military and their families. During the entire period of its work, the Center's lawyers provided consultations to more than 2,000 servicemen from all over Ukraine.
In 2015, Igor Vasiunyk joined the St. George Public Council, which built a monument to Metropolitan Andrei Sheptytsky.

February 2000 - May 2000 - Adviser to the Prime Minister Viktor Yushchenko, Deputy Head of the Prime Minister's Office.
In April 2002, he was elected People's Deputy of Ukraine from the Our Ukraine bloc, number 43 on the list. Member of the Committee on Economic Policy, Economic Management, Property and Investment.
After Victor Yushchenko's victory in the presidential election, he was appointed First Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine, and was awarded the 1st rank of civil servant since June 2005.
In the 2007 parliamentary elections, he was deputy head of the election headquarters of the Our Ukraine - People's Self-Defense bloc.
From December 18, 2007 to March 11, 2010, he was Deputy Prime Minister in the second government of Yulia Tymoshenko.
Member of the Coordinating Council for the preparation of the final part of the European Football Championship 2012; Chairman of the Supervisory Board of NSC "Olympic".
